South Suburban Man’s Song Honors Heroes ‘We Will Always Remember’
Oak Lawn musician Gincy Hartin writes a powerful thank-you note this Memorial Day to those who answered the call and never came home.
OAK LAWN, IL -- Gincy Hartin pays tribute to the men and women whose names appear on the Oak Lawn Veterans Memorial and on local monuments in cities and towns large and small across the nation. The Oak Lawn man’s beautiful and poignant “We Will Always Remember” is a powerful thank-you note to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. So before you fire up the grill or head out to catch the Memorial Day sales, take a moment to listen to what the day means.
You can hear the song in person when Hartin performs at Oak Lawn’s Memorial Day ceremony set for 11 a.m. Monday, May 27. Residents will gather at the Oak Lawn Veterans Memorial, 9427 S. Raymond Ave. (95th Street @ Raymond Avenue). While we can never truly thank those who answered the call and never came home, Hartin's song comes pretty close.
