Spartans On The Red Carpet: 2022 OLCHS Homecoming Parade
Video and photo highlights of the Oak Lawn Community High School 2022 Homecoming Parade.
OAK LAWN, IL — True to form, the Oak Lawn Community High School 2022 homecoming parade raced down Austin Avenue Wednesday evening. Student teams and clubs threw generous amounts of candy to the kiddos lining the street.
The Oak Lawn Spartan Marching Band stepped high, leading the school teams, clubs and extracurricular activities. The parade was made even more spectacular by the many new vehicles lent to the high school by Oak Lawn’s generous car dealerships.
Dist. 229 Superintendent Mike Riordan, who will retire at the end of the 2022-2023 school year, and teacher, after a memorable 31-year career at OLCHS, and teacher Pat Mayer, who is set to retired in December. Mayer is also a 1983 OLCHS graduate, and a former homecoming king (we’re still waiting for that homecoming photo).
