Sports Photo Gallery: Bulldogs' Bats Come Alive

Richards took down Oak Lawn and claimed bragging rights in a recent reprise of a storied local baseball rivalry.

Oak Lawn played Richards twice in a recent seven-day span, and the Bulldogs came out on top in the battle for baseball bragging rights both times.

Richards completed the two-game sweep on Friday, April 29,  behind an offensive explosion in the first inning. The Bulldogs scored seven runs with two outs in the first to gain an early advantage.

Richards tagged on seven more runs to win 14-2. Starting pitcher Jon Danielson worked four innings for the Bulldogs. He  allowed only one earned run. Offensively, Richards first baseman Chris Elliott led the way. He went 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Included was a three-run home run.
