Big deficits are nothing new to the Oak Lawn softball team. Nor are they a big concern any more.
Oak Lawn trailed Oak Forest 3-0 after the first inning when the two met earlier this month. So, when the Spartans again were faced with climbing out of a hole, they didn't panic in a recent 6-3 come-from-behind victory over Evergreen Park.
Oak Lawn chipped away at Evergreen Park's 3-0 lead and came through in the sixth inning with a couple clutch hits. With the bases loaded, catcher Allison Palhegyi delivered a three-RBI double to put the Spartans out in front for the first time.

Nicole Jurgensen closed out the seventh to ensure Oak Lawn's victory. Jurgensen only gave up two hits in the last six innings after giving up three runs to start the game.
