All you heard from the Richards sideline was, "Watch Swanson." Or, "Cover Swanson.

And, rightly so.

Katie Swanson scored two goals in Oak Forest's recent 3-1 girls soccer victory over Richards. The young Bulldogs, with six sophomore starters, did put up a dogfight, though as they pulled within striking distance on Brittany Wagner's second-half goal.

But, with all the focus on Swanson, the Bengals' Colleen Emmett scored the clincher for Oak Forest.
