St. Germaine Celebrates Abe Lincoln
Circuit Court Judge Vincenzo Chimera paid a visit to the third, fourth and fifth grade classes on Friday, Feb 17th.

Circuit Court Judge Vincenzo Chimera paid a visit to the third, fourth and fifth grade classes on Friday, Feb 17th to help us celebrate President Abe Lincoln. Judge Chimera’s visit was a part of the Illinois Judges Association Reading Project.
He read the story of Abe Lincoln’s Hat by Martha Brenner. The book is a delightful account of the personality and adventures of Abraham Lincoln. The students found Lincoln’s “filing system,” which included leaving important notes in his tall black hat, quite amusing.
After the reading, Judge Chimera answered students’ questions about the court system.
