Bars, Restaurants Plan Watch Parties For St. Laurence IHSA Title Game

BURBANK, IL — St. Laurence High School is in the midst of a history season. After last week’s thrilling 31-30 win in double overtime against Wheaton Academy, the Vikings are headed to the IHSA 4A State Championship in Normal.

This is the Vikings’ first football state championship appearance since 1979, and the first since the school went co-ed. Led by Coach Adam Nissen, St. Laurence takes a 10-3 record into the championship game.

St. Laurence will face the undefeated Rochester Rockets (14-0) this Friday, Nov. 24. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Hancock Stadium at Illinois State University, 211 N. Main St., Normal.

If you’re making the trip to Normal, join St. Laurence for a pregame rally at DESTIHL Beer Hall, 1200 Greenbriar Drive, Normal, for a pregame rally starting at 4 p.m. The Beer Hall is family friendly and located off I-55 right before you hit town.

Tickets are $15 and available at the Hancock Stadium gate; or buy them online for $17.
