The OLHMS Mustangs boys basketball program recently concluded a successful season with championship wins by their 6/7th-grade team and a 3rd place finish by their 8th-grade team in the SWIC Conference.
The 6/7th-grade boys basketball game saw the Mustangs take on Evergreen Park, and despite trailing late in the game, the team rallied to take the lead in the 4th quarter and win the SWIC Tournament. Shay L. won the tournament MVP, but Angel C. played a crucial role in the win with his energy and buckets.
"I am very proud of our team," said Coach Dare. "They worked hard throughout the season, and it all paid off in the end. Shay L. and Angel C. were instrumental in leading the team to victory."
