Suspect Being Questioned In Sex Assault Of 14-Year-Old Girl: Cops
Burbank police said they have an adult male in custody who is being questioned in the sex assault of a St. Laurence student.

BURBANK, IL — Police are questioning a “person of interest” in the sexual assault of a St. Laurence High School student in Burbank. A man believed to be involved in the sexual assault was picked up for questioning on Wednesday, after police released numerous high-resolution images of a male suspect, asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
Around 7:40 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, a 14-year-old girl had just gotten off a Pace bus and was walking northbound on Central Avenue when she was approached from behind. A man inferred that he had a gun and pulled the girl into an alley in the 7800 block of South Central Avenue, where the sex assault is said to have occurred.
No charges have been filed. The investigation remains ongoing, said Div. Chief Mike Dudlo, of the Burbank Police Department. Only if he is charged will the man’s name and other information be released.

“I can say video surveillance, the media and the assistance of the public have all played a part of the investigation and have brought us to where we currently are,” Dudlo said. “We thank all who have helped and assisted us.”
If anyone has any further information pertinent to the investigation, they are still urged to contact the Burbank Police Department at 708-924-7300 as this investigation continues.
