'Tacos And Trivia' Fundraiser Will Help Oak Lawn Schools

If you know a thing or two about a thing or two, register for a table at the Nov. 12 fundraiser for the District 123 Education Foundation.

OAK LAWN, IL — Here’s a bit of trivia: what’s a fun event coming up in Oak Lawn? Here’s a hint: it involves tacos.

Registration is now open for the District 123 Education Foundation’s Taco and Trivia night, which will help raise money for extracurricular activities and innovative educational initiatives in the district.

On Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Nicholas Church (10301 S. Kolmar Ave.), teams of up to 10 will battle to see who knows the most random information. Prizes will be awarded to both the team with the most right answers, and the team with the best theme. The night will also feature a raffle and silent auction.

But arguably the best prize is the certificate for 10 free tacos from Taqueria Jalisco in Blue Island each team will get. Teams are asked to bring their own snacks, appetizers, desserts, and drinks. The event is only open to people 21 and older.

A table of 10 costs $250.
