Veteran Coach And Teacher Tapped As New OLCHS Athletic Director

Jeremy Cryan aims to build Spartan athletic culture as new Oak Lawn Community High School athletic director.

OAK LAWN, IL -- When Oak Lawn Community High School faced the task of finding a new athletic director, it didn’t have to look very far to find highly-qualified candidates for the position. And, when the final buzzer sounded on the interview process, OLCHS veteran teacher and coach, two-time Fred Parks Award winner, and 2018 South Suburban Conference Boys Track and Field Coach of the Year Jeremey Cryan was chosen as the man for the job.

Cryan enters the position with relentless energy, with a willingness to learn on the job, and with a clear vision for the future of OLCHS athletics.

“Building our athletic culture is very important to me,” Cryan said. “When a student puts on a Spartan uniform, it needs to stand for something. No matter what team the student is a part of, there is a common expectation and set of values that embody every Spartan athlete.”
