Villarreal Comes Out Slugging In Oak Lawn Spartan Home Opener
Coming off a .403 season, senior Alexis Villarreal's hot bat puts Oak Lawn Community High School girls softball team over Trinity Christian.

OAK LAWN, IL — Alexis Villarreal wanted to start her senior season with a bang after batting .403 last year for Oak Lawn Community High School girls softball. In the season-opener against Chicago Christian, she made that desire a reality.
Villarreal had four hits, including a triple, drove in five runs, and scored three runs. She also patrolled center field with confidence as the Spartans won 17-12.
“Last season, Alexis’ batting average was .403, which was third best on the team,” OLCHS head coach Shawn Neubauer said. “She wanted to start her senior season strong.”
