Top-ranked Richards follows lead of Northwestern recruit Brianna LeBeau. Sandburg perking in No. 2 slot in weekly power rankings.

1. Richards (25-0): Brianna LeBeau, Kristin Renken, Hannah Jenkins and Nicolle Ellement each had two hits in the Bulldogs’ 11-4 victory over Riverside-Brookfield. LeBeau, a straight-A student and Northwestern recruit, doubled, homered and drove in three runs. Last week: No. 1.

2. Sandburg (19-5): Deuces were wild for Jessica Perkins in the Eagles’ 7-1 victory over Joliet Central. She had two hits, scored two runs and finished with two RBIs. Amanda Barna (4-1) scattered three hits and struck out 1. Last week: No. 2.

3. Stagg (24-5): Lea LaSota pitched a four-hitter and struck out five as the Chargers took the first game of doubleheader from Naperville Central 2-1. Victoria Dellorto went 3-for-3 and stole a base. The Redhawks bounced back to gain a split with a 4-0 victory in Game 2. Last week: No. 3.

4. Oak Forest (22-3): Jourdan Skirha went 3-for-4 and drove in two runs in the Bengals’ 6-0 victory over Thornton Fractional North. Brianna Getzloff added two hits and two RBIs. Colleen Sherwood (7-0) tossed a one-hitter and struck out 10. Last week: No. 4.

5. Marian Catholic (24-5): Becca Stanton and Becca Gray get the job done in the Spartans’ doubleheader sweep over Carmel (11-1 and 18-3). Stanton smacked three home runs and drove in five runs in Game 2. Gray had two hits and two RBIs in the opener. She also was the winning pitcher. Last week: Unranked.
