OAK LAWN, IL — The Oak Lawn Park District Community Theatre will be reviving the George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart’s 1936 madcap comedy “You Can’t Take It With You,” at the Erica Heilmann Theatre, 4625 W. 110th St., in the Oak View Center.

“You Can’t Take It With You” tells the story of Grandpa Vanderhof and his wacky family, the Sycamores, who have been happily living their zany lives in his house by Columbia University in New York for many years. This family (and their friends) are a madcap group of eccentrics, marching to the beat of their own drum, with pride and joy. Their hobbies include collecting snakes, building fireworks in the basement, writing a myriad of plays that never get published, and taking ballet lessons. Things like stress, jobs, and paying taxes to the government are for other people, not for them, according to Stage Agent.

The show features a talented local cast, including: Dean Papdopoulous as Tony Kirby, Gianna Formica as Olga, Michelle Pniewski as Alice Sycamore, Bob Montesano as Paul Sycamore Libby Correll as Miss Wellington; Kevin Denny as Mr. Depinna, and Marty McIntyre as Penny Sycamore.
