Yousef Abbasi Earns Starting Spot On Oak Lawn Spartan Baseball Team

OAK LAWN, IL — For the last four years, senior Yousef Abbasi has worked on and off the field to improve his game for the Oak Lawn Community High School baseball team. The hard work has earned him a starting spot in the outfield and generally in the middle of the lineup for the Spartans.

Whether it is in right field, left field, or in the classroom, Abbasi always gives everything he has to be his best.

“Yousef has consistently worked harder to be a contributing member of the team,” head coach Bill Gerny said. “This year he has been one our most dependable hitters. Yousef also shines in the classroom; he has a near-4.0 grade point average.”
