Chicago Teens Charged In Armed Carjacking That Led Cops On Chase
Davontae Jones, 18, and Jason Dortch, 19, both of the 2700 block of Polk St. allegedly led cops through Chicago's West side and onto I-290.

OAK PARK, IL — Chicago police charged two men with aggravated carjacking after a high-speed chase that started on the city's west side and ended in Oak Park on I-290 late Monday. The men allegedly used handguns to intimidate two male victims into giving them the keys to the Jeep Cherokee and some cash in the 800 block of S. Racine before fleeing in the Jeep.
Police say Davontae Jones, 18, and Jason Dortch, 19, both of the 2700 block of Polk St., then sped toward Oak Park until Chicago Police caught up to them. The men allegedly tried to flee on foot after stopping the Jeep near Austin Blvd. on I-290.
Jones and Dortch are currently being held at Cook County Jail and are set to appear in bond court Wednesday.
