3 Juveniles Arrested After Crashing Stolen Car In Oak Park: Cops

Police say the teens crashed the car shortly after stealing it.

OAK PARK, IL -- Three juveniles from Chicago were arrested in Oak Park Monday evening after they crashed a vehicle they had just stolen in a carjacking, police say. The car had been stolen from a River Forest resident moments earlier in the 800 block of North Boulevard.

The victim told police that he was getting into his car when three juveniles came up to him. He told police one of the suspects put something to his back and implied it was a handgun while demanding his car keys, cellphone, and wallet.

The three juvenile suspects fled in the victim's car and were seen fleeing eastbound on Washington at a high rate of speed by police. Shortly after, police say the suspects crashed into another car near the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Ridgeland.
