Forest Park Mayor Anthony Calderone and other officials were on hand June 12 for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony at Forest Agency ‘s new offices. Close to 70 people, including employees, village officials, local business owners, partners, clients and longtime friends gathered for the ceremony and celebration. Mary Browne, wife of the late Bill Browne who founded Forest Agency in 1957, and her son Dan, who now runs the agency, assisted the mayor in the ribbon-cutting.
Forest Agency moved to the Madison Street location late last year after working out of an Oak Park office building for 55 years. The renovated Madison Street structure was completely gutted to make improvements. The new space boasts 10 skylights, 11-foot windows and marble entry floors and countertops. The open-concept space has a loft feel with 16-foot ceilings and exposed brick walls. The staff is enjoying the roomy, ground-floor space, and being close to all the fun on Madison Street.
Forest Agency Insurance has been providing home, auto, business, life and health insurance in the area since it was founded by Browne’s father in 1957. The agency, which employs 17 people, represents over a dozen different insurance companies, including Chubb, Ace Private Risk, Travelers, MetLife Auto & Home, Hanover, Hartford and others.
