Lake Theatre To Present Box Office Hit: Munger Road

The most buzzed about thriller, “Munger Road,” opened exclusively on September 30, 2011 at Charlestowne 18 in St. Charles, IL, and did record-breaking business with the highest per screen average in the country. Beginning this weekend, Oak Park will share in all the excitement! For one week only, the Lake Theatre, at 1022 Lake Street in downtown Oak Park, will be hosting digital screenings of “Munger Road” opening Friday, October 14th and ending Thursday, October 20th. Showtimes daily are at 12:10pm, 2:10pm, 4:10pm, 6:10pm, 8:10pm, and 10:10pm. And, the Director himself, Nick Smith, will be making a special appearance before the 8:10pm and 10:10pm shows this Friday and Saturday. General admission applies.

Given a three-star review by Sun-Times Movie Critic Roger Ebert and Daily Herald Movie Critic Dann Gire, the horror flick follows two St. Charles police officers as they search for a return killer the same night four teenagers go missing on Munger Road.
