Armed Carjackers In 'Jason' Masks Steal Car In Oak Park

OAK PARK, IL --- A car was stolen in Oak Park by armed carjackers, one of whom was wearing a "Jason" mask, in the 400 block of Scoville on Dec. 21. The carjacking took place at approximately 7:20 p.m., according to a police summary.

Police say the victim got of his car and was approached from behind by a man in a "Jason" mask who was armed with a handgun. The victim told police the man demanded "everything" and that they gave their keys and cellphone to a second suspect.

Two other men, also armed with handguns, were at the scene and got into the victim's car with the other two suspects. The four suspects reportedly fled east on Chicago Avenue.

Police later recovered the car after it was found unattended in Chicago, but no arrests have been made. If you have any information, contact Oak Park police at 708-434-1636.
