Armed Robbers Ambush Victim In Alley In Oak Park: Cops

OAK PARK, IL --- Oak Park police are investigating an incident in which three suspects robbed a person at gunpoint in an alley on the village's south side. The armed robbery took place early Sunday in the 6200 block of Roosevelt Road, according to a police report.

The victim told police that they were walking in an alley around 6:45 a.m. when two male suspects approached them on foot. Police say a third suspect pulled up in a black sedan and showed a black handgun while demanding the victim's belongings.

According to police, the victim gave the gunman their iPhone, $120 cash, and a set of keys. The other two suspects then got into the car and fled east down the alley. Their vehicle was described as a 1990s model black sedan, possibly a Chevy Malibu.
