Armed Robbers Conceal Faces With Surgical Masks, Hold Up Man In Oak Park
Two men wearing blue surgical masks robbed a man in the 200 block of North Linden in Oak Park Thursday. One man was armed with a handgun.

OAK PARK, IL — A man was robbed by two men wearing blue surgical masks in Oak Park late Thursday night. Police say the armed robbery took place in the 200 block of north Linden at approximately 11:51 p.m.
According to a release from Oak Park Police Department, the victim was walking eastbound on Erie when he was approached by two men wearing dark hooded sweatshirts with the hoods pulled tightly to conceal their faces. The men were wearing blue surgical masks to cover the lower half of their faces and one of them was armed with a handgun, the victim told police.
The armed suspect reportedly demanded the victim's belongings. The victim then threw his iPhone 6 onto the ground, police said, before the suspects patted him down in search of money. The offenders took the victim's phone before fleeing southbound on Linden in a newer grayish or darker Honda Civic.
