Armed Robbery Targets AT&T Worker In Oak Park: Police

OAK PARK, IL — Oak Park Police are looking for an armed robbery suspect who stole two iPhones from an AT&T employee Thursday afternoon. The robbery took place in an alley near the 900 block of N. Humphrey at approximately 2:50 p.m., according to a police summary.

The victim was reportedly sitting in his AT&T work truck facing northbound down an alley when he was approached by the offender, who showed a silver semi-automatic handgun and demanded, "Give me the wallet and stuff." The victim handed over two iPhones valued at a total of $700 to the victim, who then fled.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late teens or early 20s, standing roughly 6' tall with a thin build. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a dark baseball cap over long dreadlocks, a gray shirt, dark pants, and visible blue underwear.
