Concordia University Chicago - Community Band Auditions

Concordia University Chicago’s University Band is now auditioning new members. Created by Dr. Richard Fischer, CUC director of bands, the University Band, is a community ensemble, performing five concerts per year. Membership is by audition, but without charge. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 7:45 to 9:30 p.m., with summer rehearsals beginning June 6, for four weeks, and fall rehearsals beginning August 29.

Musicians at the college level and beyond are welcomed to schedule an audition with Dr. Fischer; all instruments are welcome. Performances include university events as well as community-wide performances.

Dr. Fischer, Distinguished Professor of Music and The Fred and Jane Wittlinger Endowed Chair for Music Performance, is in his 39^th year as director of bands at Concordia University Chicago.
