From the River Forest Library - Cabin Fever? We’ve Got You Covered
The RFPL Children's Department talks up some great family fun to get you through the cold weather!
Snowstorms, ice, and freezing temperatures, oh winter when will you ever end? If you’re like me, this last month or so of winter can seem like it will last forever. Here at River Forest Public Library, we’ve come up with some great ideas to get you and your family through this last month until spring.
Beach Party at RFPL (Sunday, March 3rd) 2-3 P.M.
The children’s department at River Forest is hosting our own beach party on Sunday, March 3rd from 2-3 P.M. What a great way to celebrate the end of winter! Now, unfortunately River Forest doesn’t have its own beach, but why would we let that stop us? Dig out your summer clothes, and create some warm memories listening to beach stories, dancing, playing games, and enjoying a cool treat to eat. This program is for kids ages 4-8. Make sure to register by 2/27/13 to save your spot.

Donuts for Dads (Saturday March 2nd and 9th) 9:30-11:30 A.M.
I can think of no better way to warm up from the chilly outdoors than to enjoy some hot coffee, donuts, and a fun story time by the fire. Families of all shapes and sizes are invited to the library for these and other fun activities including crafts and games. No registration required.
