Who wins in a trademark battle? The first-in-time owner of the mark or the person who spends the most in legal fees?
It seems that the not so sleepy Village of Oak Park has attracted Olympic sized attention in more than one way. Of course, we had The Flying Squirrel, Ellis Coleman, OPRF graduate and wrestler. But what does Oak Park have that could interest U. S. Olympic Gold Medal winner, Ryan Lochte? The trademarked term JEAH.
According to their website, the original JEAH has been “perfecting Web Design, Web Hosting, SEO, Shell Accounts, IT Solutions and more since 1999.” It seems that Lochte and his attorneys are putting the full court press on the local company to push them out of their first-in-time trademarked term.
