Kroma vs. Khroma!? The Konfusion Kontinues
Ever wonder what happens when three entities have the same name in the same beauty space? The battle of Kroma & Chroma vs. Khroma kontinues!
Last week I wrote about the Kardashian sisters’ konflict with Chroma Makeup of Beverly Hills, California. The Sisters K started a makeup line called Khroma Beauty by Kourtney, Kim and Khloe in the Color Category which allegedly “reads on” the similar “mark” - Chroma Makeup. Though the spelling of the names is different, the names certainly sound the same.
Turns out that there are more than two entities with the same or similar names. Another Kroma company (without the “H”) filed for Trademark protection in January of this year. The K Krew was denied a Trademark in September of this year for the “Khroma” line because, frankly, it can be konfused with Kroma - without the H.
According to TMZ, the authority on all things celebrity and Kardashian, representatives for the first Kroma met with representatives for the Kardashian Khroma to “hash out a deal.” However, no agreement was reached. I doubt this is the end of the Kroma & Chroma vs. Khroma war! Stay tuned for updates.
