Quick Tip: Wedding Rehearsals
Find out a common problem with wedding rehearsals and how to solve it!
In my years as a wedding planner, I've noticed one nearly inescapable fact: Wedding rehearsals are notorious for starting late!
It's not difficult to figure out why. After all, most rehearsals take place on Fridays, right in the midst of rush hour traffic. When you've got a large group of participants, some of which are unfamiliar with the city, that probably haven't accounted for traffic, it's almost inevitable that someone is going to be late and hold things up.
Fortunately, there's a simple solution. When informing the rehearsal participants on the time for the rehearsal, simply tell them it will be starting 15 minutes earlier than it actually does. A false start time will get these family members and friends moving just a little bit earlier and help ensure an on-time start.

*Caution: While a great tool for the wedding rehearsal, a false start time should not be used on wedding invitations for the actual ceremony. Find out why in next week's post.
