Renew Your License (and Wear Clean Underwear)

Renewing your license means more to you than just avoiding a ticket. It also means keeping your insurance coverage.

If you ever thought about waiting to renew your license or blew off a ticket, think again.  What about letting a sketchy friend borrow your car?  In Illinois, your insurance may not cover you in the event of an accident.   According to the matter of Founders Insurance Company v. Munoz, et al. If you do not have a “reasonable belief” that you are “entitled” to drive, then the insurance company may deny your claim.  Obviously, if you do not have a valid license, you do not meet this test.  So renew your license early and wear clean underwear in case you are in an accident.  This way, you will keep all of your assets covered.

If you have an issue with your insurance coverage or been injured in a car accident, please call the Hoag Law Group, LLC today! Call now:  1-800HOAGLAW.
