Alleged Carjackers Arrested After High-Speed Chase In Oak Park

OAK PARK, IL — Police arrested two alleged carjackers after a high-speed chase that took cops through West Town and into Oak Park late Monday. Chicago police caught up to the suspects on I-290 and they were taken into custody.

The carjacking took place in the 800 block of North Racine, police say. The suspects were apprehended at approximately 9:30 p.m. near Austin Blvd. on I-290, Sun-Times reports.

According to Sun-Times, police found a weapon in the car after the carjacking suspects were arrested.
