Cars Burglarized, Damaged In Oak Park: Police

According to Oak Park Police, two cars were burglarized and another car's windshield was broken within a day.

11/15: Police said a vehicle was burglarized in the 100 block of S. East Ave. after offender(s) shattered the passenger side window of the vehicle sometime between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. At press time, no items had been reported missing, but the damage was estimated to be approximately $250.

11/16: Sometime between 6:10 a.m. and 9 a.m., suspect(s) got into a car via an unlocked tailgate in the 100 block of South Blvd. Once inside the offender(s) removed power and hand tools that totaled to an estimate of $540.

Criminal Damage To Motor Vehicle

11/16 - 11/17: Suspect(s) shattered the windshield of a vehicle that was parked in the carport of a home in the 100 block of S. Wesley Ave. The incident reportedly took place between 6:15 p.m. on Nov. 16 and 9:15 a.m. on Nov. 17. The total estimated damage is $800.
