Voices of Hope Supports Lemons of Love as Fall Contribution Recipient

Voices of Hope Community Chorus will present its fall concert , “Why We Sing: Exploring the Power of Music” a program of impactful, moving songs on Saturday, November 14, at Glenview Community Church and Sunday, November 15, at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Oak Park.
The Voices of Hope Community Chorus embraces the joy of music and the supportive power of community for those who’ve been affected by breast cancer. In furtherance of this mission, we are pleased to announce that the chorus has doubled its community contributions program for 2026 from sponsoring one organization per year to supporting two; one in the spring and one in the fall. This fall’s awardee organization is Lemons of Love, headquartered in Mt. Prospect.
The expanded contribution program reflects the chorus’s strong financial position and the continued generosity of its audiences, sponsors and donors. The chorus directs a portion of concert ticket sales each season to an organization aligned with the group’s mission.
“All members of Voices of Hope are strongly supportive of our mission.”, said Kathleen Lojas, Voices of Hope Community Chorus president. “We hope to reach as many breast cancer survivors as possible. Donating a portion of our ticket sales is a big part of this.” Louise Handel, head of the charitable donations committee added, "We considered several worthwhile breast cancer related nonprofit organizations. Lemons of Love is a unique and local one that we all agreed on."
Lemons of Love’s mission is to share love with anyone impacted by cancer through personalized care packages, free programs and ongoing support.
