District 97 Begins Superintendent Search, Admin. Building Project

District 97 Superintendent Search
District 97 has begun its search to find a replacement for Dr. Al Roberts, who announced on January 6 that he will be retiring as superintendent at the end of the 2014-15 school year. The district is inviting community members to provide feedback regarding the qualities and characteristics they believe the next superintendent should possess. This feedback can be shared via an online survey that can be accessed by clicking here. The deadline for completing the survey is Wednesday, February 18, 2015.

There will also be two forums during which people will have the opportunity to offer input. Below are the dates, times and locations for these forums.

• Monday, February 9, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Julian Middle School
• Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Brooks Middle School

District 97 Administration Building Project
District 97 and STR Partners LLC will be hosting two public meetings during which they will share design concepts for the district’s new administration building and discuss the outcomes from the focus groups that were held with community experts in December. They will also give attendees the chance to weigh in on the concepts and offer suggestions for how the new facility can benefit the citizens of Oak Park. Below are the dates, times and locations for the meetings.

• Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Brooks Middle School from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
• Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Irving Elementary School from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
