District 97 Playgrounds Will Get Upgrades

The combined total cost of the constructions projects is $2 million with a project at Irving Elementary School coming in at $860,000, according to OakPark.com.

Playgrounds at Whittier, Mann and Hatch elementary schools will all see upgrades this summer while Irving Elementary School will see extensive work done, which will include a new synthetic turf field and the replacement of its current playground, according to OakPark.com. 

The District 97 Board of Education in recent weeks has approved the final summer plans for the park as well as an intergovernmental agreeement between District 97 and the Park District of Oak Park , according to OakPark.com.
