1. Dom's Kitchen & Market will no longer move into the historic Marshall Fields building on Lake Street, the Wednesday Journal reports. According to the Village, the space was deemed "ill-suited" for the grocer's plans. (Wednesday Journal)

2. Gov. J.B. Pritzker has given "a flurry of roughly $10 million in contributions" to Illinois Democrats in recent days, including Senate Democrats led by Oak Park's Don Harmon. Early voting is underway in some parts of the state ahead of the Nov. 8 midterms. (Paid source: Tribune)

3. The combined church community of St. Catherine-St. Lucy and St. Giles has narrowed down its potential new names to six. Options include Saint Sophia Parish and St. Clare of Assisi Parish. Parishioners will be surveyed on their top choice beginning Oct. 8. (SCSLSG)
