
Concordia University Chicago invites singers of all ages to participate in a special one-time Performance of Giancarlo Menotti’s beloved family opera Amahl and the Night Visitors.

The audience is invited to sing the shepherd’s chorus in this open community holiday musical event, while the roles of Amahl, his mother, and the three kings will be performed by professional soloists. Larry Ippel, artistic director of Momenta, will be on hand to lead the shepherd’s dance. Rehearsal and performance led by Concordia University’s Maurice Boyer, accompanied by Dana Brown and Lawrence Axelrod.
A free-will offering to benefit West Suburban PADS will be collected. PADS serves individuals and families who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, with dignity and respect, through shelter, housing and supportive services. www.westsuburbanpads.org
