As a “Celebrating Seniors Week”* event, local real estate agent Roz Byrne, SRES, will present a free seminar titled, “Getting Your Home Sold: An Introduction into Today’s Market,” at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7, at the Oak Park Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Ave. A healthy brunch will be provided to participants.
Byrne is a senior real estate specialist who is dedicated to seniors faced with moving in the current real estate market. Her popular seminars help older adults make decisions involved in downsizing and moving. More than half of the 33 homes she sold in 2010 were owned by seniors.
The Oak Park Arms is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartments and a full schedule of activities and services. Furnished apartments are also available for short-term stays - a weekend, a week, a month or longer.
