Lake Theatre Hosts Halloween Midnight Bash

Celebration of 75th Anniversary Features Classic 1936 Movie, Presented by XRT's "A Regular Guy"

At the stroke of midnight this year on Friday, October 28^th, be sure you’re at the Lake Theatre for a night of “campy sci fi fun” with a rare screening of the 1936 Universal classic thriller The Invisible Ray, starring Boris Karloff and Béla Lugosi. In conjunction with the Lake Theatre’s 75^th Anniversary, the Invisible Ray will be shown for just $5 admission. The film will be preceded by a special episode of Flash Gordon. This 1936 cliffhanger serial starring Buster Crabbe is another longtime favorite of science fiction fans! Costumes are encouraged for everyone who joins the Halloween celebration at the Lake Theatre, located at 1022 Lake Street in downtown Oak Park, IL. This Halloween Midnight Show is presented by XRT’s “A Regular Guy,” and proceeds from the event will go to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
