Learn about the opera before you go! Once again this season, Oak Park Public Library and River Forest Public Library have joined together to offer the local community the complete Lyric Opera Lecture Series of eight programs. The series begins with a lecture on “Elektra.” William Nelson of the Lyric Opera Lecture Corps will present the history and music of this breath-taking opera by composer Richard Strauss.
