Mindfulness - A Day of Concentration
A person who has good, virtuous concentration has control over his mind, and his mind does what he wants it to do, like a well-trained horse that obeys its rider. Concentration serves to focus our mind on one object, and it is particularly important for our spiritual practice. When our mind is free from the turbulence of distracting thoughts, it naturally becomes calm and smooth. As a result, when we are enjoying internal peace and happiness our craving for external sources of pleasure naturally declines, and it is easy to remain content.
Join us for this special day course where we will learn how to strengthen our mindfulness and concentration through systematic training in meditation. At midday we will partake of a delectable vegetarian lunch.

While there will be a teaching and some time for discussion, for most of the day we will be happily enjoying silence.
