Pro Musica Youth Chorus is On The Move for their Spring
Concert! Welcome spring as the singers culminate their busy season with a variety of music – jazz, classical, folk,
and show tunes. The concert will be held on May 12th at 2:30 pm at Brooks Middle School, 325 S. Kenilworth in
Oak Park. Tickets for adults are $10 and students/seniors are $5.
For the past twenty-one years, Pro Musica Youth Chorus has been committed to helping young people grow, learn, achieve and experience joy through song. Comprised of singers in kindergarten through twelfth grade from many local communities, the chorus offers performance-based programs that teach musical skills and vocal excellence,
promote poise and personal responsibility, and develop teamwork and leadership. Led by Artistic Director William Chin, the ensembles regularly perform locally as well as tour nationally and internationally. Pro Musica has performed with Joffrey Ballet, Chicago Youth Symphony,
the Symphony of Oak Park and River Forest, at Chicago Symphony Center, Carnegie Hall, and with a number of professional vocal groups. Pro Musica will be performing the National Anthem for the White Sox on June 6th and will be performing in a concert hosted by the Lord Mayors of London on New Year’s Day 2013 at the culmination of the Queens Diamond Jubilee.
