Spell Yeah! is sponsored by genre X, a twenties and thirties book discussion group facilitated by the Oak Park Public Library.  When asked why genre X would host a spelling bee, librarian Rebecca Malinowski replied, “Spelling bees are a perfect balance of drama and comedy. Where else would a grown man publicly pout over a misused dipthong?”
