Winterfest

Start the day at the Hospitality Tent on Marion, south of Lake Street

  • Enjoy complementary Julius Meinl coffee provided by Sugar Fixe and Fannie May’s very own Hot Chocolate.
  • Spin Brookfield Zoo’s Prize Wheel for free admissions, discounts and other goodies from our nature-loving friends.
  • Start the Cookie Walk here. A $5.00 participation fee includes a 2011 Winterfest souvenir cookie tin and map of participating businesses.

Enjoy these free events and entertainment in downtown businesses:

  • 10:30 – 11:30am, at the Holley Court Terrace – 1111 Ontario
    OPRFHS’s show choir, “Noteworthy” will perform a variety of music styles from Pop to Jazz.
  • 11–1pm, at the UPS Store – 159 N. Marion
    David Lyons will be making balloon creations.
  • 11–3pm, at Potbellys -1100 Lake St.
    Face Painting Station, Potbelly Tattoo Station and Decorate Your Own Potbelly Stocking. Live Music by Dustin Kerman and Jeffrey Davis from 12–2pm
  • Noon–1pm, at Marion St. Gallery – 115 N. Marion
    Carol Weston’s music, puppets, dance and more for kids.
  • Noon–1pm, at Prairie Bread Kitchen – 103 N. Marion
    Magic, juggling and comedy by Jeremy Pittpayne.
  • 1–2pm, at Sugarcup Trading – 110 N. Marion
    Franceska’s Marionettes will celebrate different cultures and traditions in Christmas Around the World.
  • 1–2:30pm, at Visit Oak Park – 1010 Lake St.
    Face Painting
  • 3–4pm, at Sugar Fixe Patisserie – 119 N. Marion
    Songs and storytelling by award-winning Amy Lowe.
