Garbage Bag-Wielding Robbers Flash Semi-Automatic Gun, Steal Prescription Drugs: Oak Park Police

OAK PARK, IL — Two men stole nearly $1,500 in prescription drugs during an armed robbery at an Oak Park pharmacy Tuesday. Police say one man flashed a semi-automatic handgun and shouted, "Where are the narcs?" The incident took place at approximately 5:50 p.m. at Segreti Pharmacy, in the 5100 block of West Roosevelt.

According to a police summary, the first suspect used a semi-automatic handgun with a chrome handle to threaten the pharmacy employee. He then stole the employee's iPhone and demanded to know where the "narcs" were as a second suspect stood by with a black plastic garbage bag.

The employee complied and the men shoved multiple prescription drugs into the trash bag. The drugs were valued at $1466.86, a police summary said.

The first suspect is described as a black male in his 30s standing 6' tall and weighing roughly 230 pounds. He has a dark complexion and was wearing black sunglasses and a short-sleeved beige shirt during the robbery, according to police.

The second suspect is described as a black male in his 30s standing about 5'9" tall and weighing approximately 260 pounds. The police summary describes him as having a dark complexion and long hair, combed back into an "Afro style." He was wearing a black sweatshirt and black pants at the time of the robbery.
