I want to buy a home next year. When should I start looking?
How much time should you give yourself to buy a home? It's never too early to start!

Q: I want to buy a home next year. When should I start looking?
A: It's never too early to start browsing and getting to know the market; if you're at all interested in short sales, you should start looking 6+ months before you want to move. If you're looking more at traditional sales, 3-4 months before you want to move.
Reach out to some lenders now to find out if there's anything you can be doing to improve your credit and narrow down your loan options so you can budget to save for down payment, closing costs, etc.
If you're looking for a local Forest Park / Oak Park / River Forest expert, I'd be happy to schedule a 1-on-1 buyer consultation so you can learn more about the process as well as receive mortgage broker recommendations. Happy hunting!
