Man Attempts To Lure Child Into Car: Oak Park Police

OAK PARK, IL — A man attempted to lure an adolescent child into his vehicle last Thursday, according to a release from the Oak Park Police Department. The incident occurred at approximately 3 p.m. in 400 block of Erie Street, police said.

A while four-door car pulled up to the 15-year-old victim as she was unlocking her bike, police said, and told her to "get in the car." The child then reportedly yelled at the offender, who then fled southbound on Scoville. Oak Park police said the victim described the suspect as a black male between 35 and 40 years old with a muscular build and a "very round" bald head.
