Man Damages Toilet, Tampers with Lock in Oak Park Jail Cell
This weekend brought a rash of residential thefts and burglaries in Oak Park as well.

The following information was provided by the Oak Brook Police Department.
On Saturday, April 8, a prisoner reportedly damaged property at Oak Brook Police Department, resulting in charges of criminal damage to government property. The man, Joseph Linzy, 25, of Hoffman Estates tampered with the lock on his holding cell door and damaged the locking mechanism, police said. Linzy then damaged the toilet inside the holding cell, according to the report.

Residential Burglary, April 7: An unidentified person used a pry bar to forcibly enter a home at the 600 block of Wenonah Avenue on Friday. The intruder took $4,320 from a drawer in the home's kitchen before leaving.

Theft, April 7: An unknown person removed a boy's Mongoose bicycle from a residential side yard at the 900 block of Wenonah Avenue.
Burglary to Auto Arrest, April 8: Three juveniles from Chicago were arrested for burglary to a motor vehicle at the 600 block of S. Euclid and the 500 block of South Ridgeland. The youths matched the description provided in a police broadcast. They were processed at the Oak Park Police Department before being released to their parents.

Theft of Motor Vehicle, April 8: An unknown person entered and stole a 2011 silver Chevy Malibu at the 100 block of S. Austin Blvd. The vehicle is estimated to have a value of $8,000.
Theft, April 8: A person entered a residential yard at the 200 block of Marion Avenue and took a blue Fuji Crosstown 21-speed bicycle.
