Man Steals $200 Worth Of Allergy Medicine, Flees: Oak Park Police

Police say a man stole multiple packages of allergy medication from a CVS store in the 300 block of Madison Ave. Monday.

OAK PARK, IL — Oak Park Police are looking for a man who stole hundreds of dollars worth of allergy medication from a CVS Monday. Police responded to the retail theft report in the 300 block of Madison Ave. at approximately 2:20 p.m.

According to police, the man set off an alarm as he left the store and then fled in a gray Toyota Corolla. Security footage showed him removing multiple packets of allergy medicine, which included three boxes of 30-count Claritin allergy tablets and nine boxes of Allegra gel caps of various strengths and quantities. The total loss is estimated at $222.78.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, standing about 6' tall, according to police. At the time of the retail theft incident, police say he was wearing a white shirt and white pants.
