Meet OPRF Patch Editor: Charlotte Eriksen

• A few other things: I'm a foodie-in-training (that just means I try to go to every restaurant I hear has opened); I like to run and hike; I love traveling; and I'm the oldest of four kids.
• Odd facts: I went on a mission trip this summer to build a school and can probably be your next contractor; I have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do (it might have expired though—do they expire?); and I'm left-handed. I also have kind of a quirky sense of humor.

I've wanted to live in Oak Park for years. While I had a great thing going with Wheaton Patch, I knew the city didn't have what I was looking for in a hometown. I'm originally from Birmingham, MI, and sometimes see similarities between Birmingham and Oak Park in the hustle and bustle of the downtown areas, the beautiful homes and the sense of hometown pride.

I have been having a blast covering Oak Park and River Forest and learning about it as a new resident. I can't wait to meet you!
