Oak Park 2017 Halloween Sex Offender Registry Safety Map

OAK PARK, IL — Halloween is quickly approaching, so it's a good time to take an inventory of who is living in your neighborhood.

There are 17 registered sex offenders in Oak Park. Five are incarcerated in Illinois, one is incarcerated in Minnesota, and one is registered at the Illinois Department of Human Services. Each pin on the map represents the address of a convicted sex offender. Click the pin to see the offender's name, date of birth, and sex crimes.

The Illinois Sex Offender Registry states that registered sex offenders are not permitted to pass out candy or to wear costumes in public on Halloween. They are also prohibited from wearing "child-centered" holiday costumes throughout the year.

Parents may use this map to avoid trick-or-treating at these addresses or to have a better idea of where sex offenders live in their neighborhoods.
